Innovative palliative care offers hope to families of seriously ill children - The Boston Globe

Palliative care for children does not require parents to stop treatment that could halt or slow the progression of their child's disease. A new approach allows in home hospice care for children that includes palliative care while children are still undergoing treatment. The Pediatric Advanced Care Team at Children's Hospital in Boston helps families balance the blessings and burdens of treatment while pursing both treatment and comfort care.
